# About FinTend

At FinTend, we make tools that make financial caregiving the easy part. Here's how and why.

## How we got here

**FinTend was our answer to a real-life challenge.**

Financial caregiving is especially hard without a plan.

> When my father-in-law was in the hospital, we had no idea what to do to keep the lights on at home. Reverse-engineering his *all-paper system* without his guidance felt impossible.
>
> Justin Moran, Co-founder

So we decided to do what we do best - build an app - to make this situation easier for future families going through it.

## Who we serve

**Families facing the sudden incapacitation of a loved one**

The FinTend emergency financial navigator is designed for families dealing with the sudden incapacitation of a loved one. That means someone can't manage their money because they're in the hospital, unconscious, or dealing with memory loss.

We have more financial caregiving tools coming soon, so stay tuned!

## Always free in emergencies

**Families in sudden financial transitions have options.**

The last thing a family needs when they're facing a health emergency is another expense. We offer our [emergency resources](https://fintend.com/resources/) for free because we know it's the right thing to do.

So how does FinTend make money? Other products we make charge subscription fees that keep us going. We don't sell user data. Ever.

## Use FinTend to start your financial caregiving transition now.

We're here to help from the hospital stay to the long-term care plan. [Start](https://fintend.com/app?from=emergency)
