How FinTend helps a family, in three scenes
- The call. You text your sibling MJ: “Dad’s been admitted to St. John’s. He’s stable, but they’re keeping him a while. Do you know how he pays the mortgage?” MJ answers: “No idea. He always handled all of it.” You reply: “They gave me a flyer for FinTend. I’m on it.”
- The kitchen table. You upload Dad’s bank statement, last month’s credit card bill, and a bill from St. John’s to FinTend. FinTend reads them and finds the mortgage, $1,284 on autopay on the 1st from checking; Riverside Electric, $142.18 a month charged to a card; and Lakeview Water, $68.40 paid by check and due Friday.
- The plan. Dad’s plan in FinTend shows Phase 1: Stabilize with 3 of 4 steps done. MJ found the durable power of attorney, and the statements and autopay are checked off. Getting the big 4 bills paid is next, with a Call Guide for the water company: ask for hardship assistance and process a manual payment.
